L-Tyrosine–  L-tyrosine is an amino acid that plays an important role in brain health.  It is essential for the production of neurotransmitters that regulate emotions.  It has been used to treat anxiety and depression due to its ability to replenish neurotransmitters.  People who consume large amounts of alcohol or caffeine should consider taking L-Tyrosine because it can help renew brain chemicals that are depleted by alcohol and caffeine.  L-tyrosine helps relieve stress, encourages alertness and supports healthy glandular function.  It should not be consumed by people taking MAOI antidepressants.

 

Krill Oil–  Krill are small shrimp that live in the colder oceans.  Krill oil has many of the benefits of fish oil but is much less likely to be contaminated with harmful chemicals because they are lower on the food chain than the larger fish that are used to make fish oil.  Krill oil is a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids that are important for brain health.  Krill oil promotes better concentration and memory.  It contains caroteniods that help protect the eyes.  It is an excellent supplement to take for general brain and circulatory system health.
